4 recalls across 3 model years
The HUMMER H2 has 4 recalls spanning the 2003–2008 production run, with the most serious being a 2008 issue where anti-lock brake wheel speed sensor wiring can be reversed, causing vehicle instability and longer stopping distances under braking. The 2004 model year has a brake booster pressure accumulator that can crack or separate from the assembly during normal driving; if this happens with the hood open, fragments can injure anyone standing nearby.
The 2003 model year has two wiper-related issues. The windshield wiper motor can fail outright due to a manufacturing defect, and separately, water can enter the wiper module and cause the front wipers to operate intermittently or stop working entirely. Either condition leaves the driver without wipers in rain or snow, raising the risk of a crash.
