This fire risk applies across the full 2006–2010 production run. The connector module that regulates blower motor speed in the heating and air conditioning system generates excess heat under sustained medium-high or high fan settings, which can ignite nearby plastic components.
The other recall covers the decorative hood louver on 2006–2010 models, where the plastic clip-tabs holding the louver in place can fracture over time. As additional clips break, the louver can work itself loose and eventually detach from the hood while driving, becoming a hazard for vehicles behind.
