The HUMMER H3 has 4 recalls covering the 2006–2010 model years, with the most serious being an HVAC blower motor connector that can overheat during extended use at medium-high or high fan speeds, melting surrounding plastic and raising the risk of a fire inside the vehicle.
The hood louver on 2006–2010 models has a separate recall where the plastic clip-tabs holding it in place can fracture. As the clips break, the louver rattles and works loose, and if enough clips fail while driving, the louver can detach entirely and strike a following vehicle.
