The Husqvarna Vitpilen 401 has 3 recalls covering 2022 through 2024 model years, with the most serious being a cracked fuel filler cap seal on 2024 models that can leak fuel and raise the risk of fire.
The 2024 model year also has an engine control software recall where the software can cause the engine to stall at low RPMs, cutting power unexpectedly while riding. On 2022 and 2023 models, water can enter the electronic throttle control unit and cause it to fail, resulting in an abrupt loss of drive power mid-ride. Both the software stall issue and the throttle failure increase the risk of a crash.
