The 2019-2020 model years have a coolant junction that can leak hot coolant onto the rider or onto the rear tire. Contact with the rider raises the risk of burns, while coolant reaching the rear tire can cause a sudden loss of traction. Across all model years from 2019 through 2022, the brake light circuit can cause the brake lights to illuminate without the brakes being applied, which can confuse following riders or drivers and raise the risk of a crash.
