4 recalls across 4 model years
The Indian FTR1200 has 4 recalls covering 2019 through 2022, with the most serious being a coolant junction leak on 2019-2020 and 2022 models that can spray hot coolant onto the rider or onto the rear tire, raising the risk of burns or a loss of traction crash.
The 2022 model year has an additional fuel system concern: certain FTR 1200, FTR 1200 S, FTR 1200 Rally, and FTR 1200 R Carbon motorcycles may have been assembled with a fuel tank that has holes in it, allowing fuel to leak and creating a fire risk. Across 2019 through 2022, the brake light can illuminate when the brakes are not applied, which may confuse following drivers and raise the risk of a rear-end collision. On 2019 models, a 10-amp circuit breaker can trip without warning, cutting power and stalling the engine while riding.
