The Indian Roadmaster has 2 recalls covering 2014-2019 model years, the most serious being a gear position switch on 2014-2019 vehicles where oxidized contacts cause the display to falsely show neutral while the bike is actually in gear, so starting the engine can cause the motorcycle to lurch forward unexpectedly. The second recall covers 2015-2017 models, where water can enter the trunk wiring harness and cause the brake light to stay on continuously. A following driver seeing a permanently lit brake light has no way to tell when the motorcycle is actually slowing or stopping, raising the risk of a rear-end collision.
