The INFINITI QX80 has 6 recalls spanning 2013 to 2025, with the most serious affecting 2013 and 2014 models where the driver's airbag inflator can rupture in a crash rather than inflate properly, potentially sending fragments into the cabin. On 2025 models, a software fault can cause the rearview camera display to go blank or freeze when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, leaving the driver without a view of what's behind them while backing up. On the older end of the production run, certain 2014 models equipped with 20-inch wheels have a certification label that lists the rear axle's maximum load rating too high, which can lead to unintentional overloading of that axle.
