The Isuzu Ascender has 1 recall covering 2006-2007 model years, where a short circuit in the power window control board can start a fire even when the vehicle is parked and not running, raising the risk of personal injury. This recall applies to vehicles originally sold or registered in specific northern and mid-Atlantic states where road salt exposure is a factor. The power window circuit board in the driver's door can develop a short that generates enough heat to ignite surrounding material, with no need for the ignition to be on for the fire to start.
