The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R ABS has 2 recalls affecting different model years, with a 2016 steering damper bracket that can detach from the frame due to over-torqued mounting bolts, leaving the rider with reduced steering control and raising the risk of a crash. The 2011 model year has a separate issue where a porous engine crankcase can leak oil onto the exterior of the engine, allowing it to spill onto the rear tire. Oil on the rear tire sharply reduces traction and can cause the motorcycle to become unstable mid-ride.
