The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4 has 2 recalls, both affecting 2023 model year motorcycles, where engine stall while riding raises the risk of a crash. On certain 2023 models, the alternator rotor bolt may not have been tightened properly, allowing the rotor to loosen and cut engine power without warning. Separately from that, some 2023 units also have spark plugs that were damaged during production, which can cause an unstable idle, hesitation, or a sudden stall under the same loss-of-power conditions.
