KAWASAKI ZX-10R Recalls

The Kawasaki ZX-10R has 1 recall covering 2011-2012 model years, where engine oil can leak from the crankcase at the starter mounting point, pool on top of the engine, and spill onto the rear tire, significantly raising the risk of a crash. When oil reaches the rear tire, grip drops sharply, especially mid-corner or under braking, where rear traction loss can cause the rider to lose control. The leak originates at the starter mounting point on the crankcase and may not be immediately visible to the rider before oil has already migrated to the tire contact patch.
