The KYMCO Super 8-50 X has 1 recall affecting the 2015 model year, where the front hydraulic brake hose can be routed too close to the front tire and contact it when the suspension compresses, rupturing the hose and causing a complete loss of front braking.
When the hose tears, brake fluid escapes and the front brake stops responding, leaving the rider with only rear braking to slow the scooter. The affected vehicles were manufactured between February and September 2015.
