4 recalls across 4 model years
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has 4 recalls covering 2018–2021 model years, with the most serious being a hood hinge screw issue on 2018–2021 Coupe models where the screws can loosen and allow the hood to detach at high speed, creating a road hazard and raising crash risk.
The 2021 Roadster has a separate issue where oil line screws at the heat exchanger can work loose and let the lines detach, spilling oil onto hot engine components and raising the risk of a fire. On 2020 models, both Coupe and Roadster variants are subject to a front suspension anchor bolt that can be insufficiently tightened, allowing the suspension arm joint to collapse and causing sudden loss of steering and directional control. Also on 2020 models, the interior door handle mechanism can fail and leave occupants unable to open the door from inside, which raises the risk of injury if a quick exit is needed.
