LAMBORGHINI DIABLO Recalls

The Lamborghini Diablo has 3 recalls covering 1992 and 1997 model years, with the most serious affecting 1992 vehicles where painted wheel center sections reduce friction at the wheel flange, allowing it to rotate and work the lug stud sleeves loose while driving. The 1997 model year accounts for two recalls. On open-top 1997 models with airbags, a rubber windshield header protector was left out of the vehicle at delivery; without it in place during topless driving, an unbelted occupant in a crash can contact the exposed header and be injured. Also on 1997 vehicles, the automatic window retractor that drops the glass slightly to allow the door to open can stick in the closed position, trapping occupants inside if a crash or fire makes a quick exit necessary.
