3 recalls across 2 model years
The Lamborghini Diablo has 3 recalls covering the 1992 and 1997 model years, with the most serious affecting 1992 vehicles, where the rear of the wheel center section can lose friction with the backing plate, allowing the flange to rotate and the lug stud sleeves to work loose, potentially leading to wheel instability while driving.
The 1997 model year has two separate recalls. On vehicles where the window automatically drops to allow the door to open, the retractor system can stick in the closed position, trapping occupants inside the car during a crash or fire. Also on 1997 models equipped with airbags, a rubber windshield header protector was omitted from vehicles intended to be driven with the roof removed; without it, an unbelted occupant in a crash can make unprotected contact with the windshield header.
