4 recalls across 3 model years
The Lamborghini Murciélago has 4 recalls spanning the 2002–2007 model years, with the most serious being a fuel pump support that can detach inside the fuel tank on 2007 models due to spot welds failing under acceleration and vibration, potentially disrupting fuel delivery.
The 2006 model year has a separate concern: brake rotor fixing screws can fail and cause reduced braking performance, increasing stopping distances. On 2002 models, two steering column issues affect the ability to steer. The upper steering column shaft coupling can separate from the steering input shaft if its bolts were not properly tightened, and the lower steering column shaft coupling can also separate from the steering rack input shaft if installed with excessive clearance between the two components. Either failure on a 2002 example leaves the driver without steering control.
