On 2023-2024 models, a faulty clockspring in the steering column can interrupt the electrical connection to the driver's airbag, preventing it from deploying in a crash. A separate 2022-only issue involves the brake control computer incorrectly detecting a fault in the electronic parking brake system and disabling it entirely, leaving the vehicle unable to hold itself in park and at risk of rolling away.
