The Lexus RX 330 has 2 recalls, both affecting the 2004 model year, with the more serious being a crankshaft pulley defect where the outer ring can slip or stop rotating, causing the power steering belt to detach and leaving the driver with a sudden and significant increase in steering effort. The second recall covers the left rear seat belt buckle anchor, which can separate from the floor before reaching the load required to restrain an occupant in a crash, leaving that passenger without effective protection.
