Lexus Sc430 Recalls

The Lexus SC430 has 1 recall covering all 2002–2010 model years, involving a passenger-side front airbag inflator that can explode with excessive force, sending sharp metal fragments into the cabin and causing serious injury or death.

The defective inflator can rupture during airbag deployment rather than inflating the bag normally. Instead of cushioning the passenger, the inflator housing breaks apart and propels metal fragments toward anyone seated in the front passenger seat.
