LOTUS EVORA S Recalls

The Lotus Evora S has 2 recalls, both affecting the 2011 model year, where engine oil leaks from failing oil lines can contact hot engine or exhaust components and start a fire, while oil reaching the tires or brakes can reduce traction and compromise vehicle stability. Both recalls involve oil leak paths from separate components: one from an engine-mounted oil feed pipe and one from an oil cooler line. In either case, the escaping oil can ignite on contact with hot surfaces, and oil reaching the tires or brakes can reduce stopping and handling capability. Oil that reaches the road surface also creates a hazard for other drivers.
