Summary
The Maserati Levante has 8 recalls spanning 2014 through 2021, with the most serious recent issue affecting 2021 models where the fuel line sensor housing can crack, leak fuel, stall the engine without warning, and create a fire risk.
The 2021 model year also has a software defect that can prevent the rearview camera image from appearing when the transmission is shifted into reverse, reducing visibility while backing up. On 2019 models equipped with full LED headlights and the Adaptive Front Lighting System, the headlights can be aimed too high, cutting the driver's forward visibility and creating glare for oncoming traffic. Going back to 2018, the front subframe welds can be incomplete and break under load, which can cause loss of vehicle control. The 2017 model year has an engine software problem where, at low speeds in stop-and-go traffic, the transmission can unexpectedly shift into neutral or the engine can shut off without warning. There is also a compliance-only issue on 2017 models where the tire pressure label lists inflation values below what is recommended for the rated load, though the regulator notes this does not affect vehicle safety. On 2014 models, the seat wiring harness can be routed incorrectly from the factory and chafe against metal points on the seat frame through normal seat adjustment.
