MASERATI QUATTROPORTE GTS Recalls

The Maserati Quattroporte GTS has 3 recalls covering the 2014-2015 model years, with the most serious affecting 2014 V8 models where a battery positive cable can short to ground, overheat the wiring harness, and start a fire in the engine bay. That same 2014 V8 issue also carries a second wiring concern: an improperly crimped connection in the alternator-starter motor harness can likewise short to ground and create an overheating and fire risk. On 2015 models, a low-pressure fuel pump resistor can fail and shut down the fuel pump entirely, stalling the engine while the vehicle is moving.
