On the structural side, the front or rear bumper tow ring assemblies on 2022 vehicles can have insufficient thread depth, allowing a tow ring to pull free during vehicle transport or loading and create a crash or injury hazard. The high-voltage battery monitoring software on 2022 vehicles can fail to alert the driver when the battery develops a malfunction, removing an important warning before a problem escalates. The rearview camera on 2022 vehicles can also go dark due to a software error in the multimedia system, leaving the driver without a rear image when backing up.
