Mercedes-Benz Amg Glb35 Recalls

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GLB35 has 9 recalls covering 2021 through 2025 model years, with the most serious being a 2024-specific defect where rear brake hoses can chafe against surrounding components, leak fluid, and cause a significant loss of braking ability.

The 2025 model year has a separate safety concern: right-side front and rear tires on certain vehicles may have sidewall damage from the factory, which can cause a sudden loss of tire pressure and make the vehicle difficult to control. On 2021 models, the front axle's integral carrier can corrode and fail, removing the structural support for the front suspension and causing a loss of steering control. Also on 2021 models, the driver-side window curtain airbag may not be correctly secured at the lower A-pillar, which means it can fail to contain occupants during a rollover or side impact.

Several 2021 model year issues involve visibility and crash notification. The MBUX multimedia software can cause the backup camera display to go black or reboot during startup, leaving the driver without a rear view while reversing. Two separate software conditions affecting the automatic crash notification system can either send emergency responders to the wrong location or prevent the system from connecting to emergency services at all after a collision. The 2021 model year also has a tailgate spoiler that may not have been properly secured and can detach at speed, becoming a hazard for other vehicles.
