4 recalls across 3 model years
The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ has 4 recalls covering 2023 through 2025 model years, with the most serious being a steering coupling bolt that can work loose on 2025 vehicles, allowing the steering coupling to separate from the steering rack and cause a sudden loss of steering control.
The 2024 model year has a separate high-severity issue where battery management software can cut drive power without warning, leaving the vehicle unable to accelerate and raising the risk of a crash. On 2023-2024 models, the pedestrian alert system can produce an incorrect sound when reversing, which can fail to warn pedestrians that the vehicle is backing toward them. The 2023 model year also has a wheel rim insert that can detach while driving and become a hazard for other vehicles on the road.
