The Mercedes-Benz G550 has 4 recalls spanning 2010 through 2017, with the most serious being a brake booster vacuum hose on 2017 models that can collapse and significantly increase the pedal force needed to stop the vehicle. On 2016 models, an interior door latch cable can break if the door is difficult to open, such as after a crash, trapping occupants inside. The 2011 model year has an airbag-related issue where the front passenger airbag deployment can dislodge a molding strip, sending it as a projectile into the cabin. On 2010 models, the turn signal lamp can lose visibility to other drivers over time, raising the risk of a collision.
