The Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 4MATIC has 3 recalls covering 2025 and 2026 model years, with the most serious affecting 2026 vehicles where a rear seat belt buckle can come loose and fail to properly restrain an occupant in a crash.
The other 2026 recall involves the front passenger airbag, where incorrectly manufactured cushion fabric can prevent the airbag from deploying as intended in a crash, reducing protection for the front passenger. On 2025 models, the rearview mirror and forward-facing camera mounted to the windshield can detach from their mounting points. A fallen mirror reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, and a detached camera can disable driver assistance features including lane keeping assist and automatic emergency braking.
