2 recalls across 1 model year
The Mercedes-Benz L1316 has 2 recalls affecting the 1984 model year, the most serious being an air brake delivery tube that can rub against the front shock absorber, wear through, and bleed off air pressure during braking, reducing or eliminating front brake effectiveness.
The second recall involves parking brake spring chambers that were installed upside down, allowing water to pool inside. In cold weather, that water can freeze and corrode the internal components, degrading parking brake performance.
