The Mercedes-Benz S 560 has 4 recalls covering the 2020-2021 model years, the most serious being a fuel injector leak on 2020 models where gasoline can escape near hot engine or exhaust components and start a fire.
On the safety system side, 2020 models also have a recall for side crash sensor connectors that can work loose, preventing airbags and seatbelts from deploying properly in a side impact. Both 2020 and 2021 models are subject to two related recalls involving the automatic emergency calling system: in one case the system can become disabled entirely, preventing contact with emergency services after a crash, and in another it can send responders to the wrong location. These two eCall issues cover the same general function and together mean that post-crash emergency notification may not work reliably on either model year.
