4 recalls across 6 model years
The Nissan NV200 Taxi has 4 recalls covering 2014–2019 model years, with the most serious affecting 2017 models where a mechanical key ignition system defect can cause the engine to stall unexpectedly while driving, raising the risk of a crash.
The 2019 model year has a separate stall risk: a fuel tank temperature sensor harness routed incorrectly can damage the wiring and blow the fuel pump fuse, cutting engine power while driving. That same wiring issue affects 2014–2017 and 2019 models across the production run. The 2019 model also has a rearview camera that can fail to display an image when reversing, leaving the driver without visibility behind the vehicle. On 2014–2016 models, the passenger seat sensor that determines whether an adult or child is seated can misread the occupant, causing the front passenger airbag to not deploy correctly in a crash.
