3 recalls across 2 model years
The Nissan Pulsar has 3 recalls spanning the 1983-1987 production run, with the most serious being a 1987 fuel tank inlet pipe that can seep fuel and, near any ignition source, cause a vehicle fire. The 1983 model year has a hood latch that can be damaged if the secondary release lever is operated in the wrong direction, and if the primary latch is also unengaged or released while driving, the hood can fly open and block the driver's forward view. On 1987 models, a failed electrical contact spring in the throttle body mixture heater causes those vehicles to fall outside Canadian exhaust emissions standards.
