3 recalls across 2 model years
The Plymouth Arrow has 3 recalls covering the 1976-1978 model years, with the most serious being a fuel pump defect on 1978 models with 1.6-litre engines where the pump diaphragm can allow fuel to leak out through the pump body and pool in the engine compartment, creating a fire risk.
On 1976 models, the fuel tank mounting straps can corrode from road salt exposure and fail, dropping the tank away from the underbody where it hangs only by its fuel lines. That puts significant stress on the plumbing connections and raises the risk of a fuel leak underneath the vehicle. Also affecting 1976 models with 1.6- or 2.0-litre engines, a reed valve in the emission control system can become fouled and stop functioning, causing exhaust emissions to exceed the levels required by federal standards.
