3 recalls across 3 model years
The Plymouth Turismo has 3 recalls covering the 1984-1987 production run, with the most serious being a fuel pressure regulator on 1987 models that can leak fuel into the engine compartment and start a fire.
The 1984 model year has a similar fire risk from a different source: the engine compartment fuel reservoir can leak at its seam and at the inlet hose connection, again creating conditions for an underhood fire. On 1985 models, an emissions system valve in the vacuum line between the fuel vapor canister and the carburetor can allow an overly rich fuel mixture to be drawn into the intake manifold during deceleration, causing a sudden loss of engine power and making the vehicle harder to control.
