3 recalls across 3 model years
The Plymouth Turismo has 3 recalls spanning the 1984–1987 production run, with the most serious being a fuel pressure regulator on 1987 models that can leak fuel in the engine compartment and start a fire.
The 1984 model year has a separate fuel-related fire risk: the engine compartment fuel reservoir can leak at its seam and at the inlet hose connection, again creating conditions for an underhood fire. On 1985 models, an emissions system valve in the vacuum line between the fuel vapor canister and the carburetor can allow a fuel-saturated canister to flood the intake manifold with an overly rich mixture, causing a loss of engine power during deceleration that can make the vehicle harder to control.
