3 recalls across 10 model years
The Porsche Cayenne GTS has 3 recalls spanning 2008 through 2021, with the most serious affecting 2021 models where cracks can develop in the engine cylinder bore, potentially causing an engine stall or oil leak that raises the risk of a crash or fire.
The 2021 model year also has a second recall involving the front passenger seat's heating element, which may not have been installed. Without it, the passenger seat sensor can miscalibrate and fail to detect an adult occupant correctly, causing the front passenger airbag to not deploy in a crash. On 2008–2016 models, headlight aim can be off in a way that either leaves the road ahead underlit or directs glare toward oncoming drivers, increasing crash risk in low-light conditions.
