5 recalls across 3 model years
The Porsche Macan GTS has 5 recalls covering the 2017–2019 model years, with the most serious being a fuel pump flange on 2017 vehicles that can crack and leak fuel, raising the risk of a fire if the fuel contacts an ignition source.
The 2019 model year has a seat belt concern where rear outboard anchor bolts may not have been fully tightened at the factory, allowing the belt to loosen or pull free in a crash and leave a rear passenger without effective restraint. On the occupant protection side, 2017–2018 vehicles have a front passenger seat sensor mat that can degrade over time and stop detecting a passenger, which prevents the front passenger airbag from deploying in a crash. The 2017 model year has a related but distinct version of this issue where the sensor mat can fail and cause the front passenger airbag to be deactivated entirely. There is also a recall on 2017 vehicles equipped with the optional ski bag, where the bag can detach during a crash and create an injury risk for occupants.
