The Porsche Panamera 4S Executive has 4 recalls covering 2017-2021 model years, with the most serious being a coolant pump defect on 2017-2021 vehicles where humidity enters the external climate control pump, causes an electrical short circuit, and can start a fire.

The 2017-2018 model years have a brake pad wear indicator that can fail to alert the driver when pads are worn down, meaning the driver may not know the brakes are degraded until stopping distances grow dangerously long. On 2018 models, an electrical fault can impair driveability, reducing the driver's ability to control the vehicle. Also on 2018 models, a rear suspension component can shift unexpectedly, causing sudden changes in handling that raise the risk of a crash.
