3 recalls across 4 model years
The Rivian EDV has 3 recalls covering 2022 through 2025 model years, with the most serious affecting 2022 vehicles where a fastener connecting the front upper control arm to the steering knuckle can work loose and separate, causing sudden loss of steering control.
On the occupant safety side, 2022-2025 models have a driver's seat belt pretensioner cable that can become damaged and fail to lock the belt tight in a crash, reducing restraint when it matters most. On 2023-2024 vehicles, the headlights can be aimed incorrectly from the factory, reducing the illuminated area ahead of the vehicle and lowering visibility in low-light conditions.
