The Rover 3500 has 2 recalls, both affecting the 1980 model year, with the more serious being a fuel hose connecting the spill return pipe to the fuel tank inlet pipe that can seep fuel and create a fire risk. The second recall involves the brake master cylinder, where heat causes a chemical reaction between moisture in the brake fluid and a galvanized spring inside the cylinder. That reaction produces hydrogen gas, which increases how far the brake pedal must travel and reduces rear braking effectiveness.
