The Royal Enfield Interceptor has 1 recall covering the 2019 model year, where brake calipers can corrode and begin dragging against the rotor, causing the brakes to overheat and lose stopping power, which increases stopping distances and raises the risk of a crash. Owners of 2019 models may notice warning signs before braking is fully affected: a grinding or squealing noise when the brakes are applied, a burning smell, sluggish acceleration, or unusual resistance when pushing the motorcycle by hand. All of these can indicate the calipers are already dragging and generating excess heat.
