SAAB 9-7X Recalls

The Saab 9-7X has 4 recalls covering the 2005 and 2006 model years, with the most serious being a driver's door module on 2005 vehicles that can short circuit and start a fire, posing a risk to the vehicle and anyone nearby. Recalls 1 through 3 all trace back to the same 2005 driver's door module defect. Beyond the fire risk, the module can also develop electrical faults that cause the power windows to move on their own without driver input or lose switch function entirely. Vehicles operated in heavy road salt regions are specifically noted as susceptible. On 2006 models, the headlamp driver module can malfunction when underhood temperatures rise, causing the low-beam headlights and daytime running lamps to stop working and leaving the vehicle without forward lighting.
