SCION IQ Recalls

The Scion IQ has 2 recalls, both affecting the passenger seat's occupant classification system wiring, where sliding the front passenger seat forward or backward can damage the sensor cable and cause the front passenger airbag to fail to deploy in a crash or deploy incorrectly for the occupant's size and position. The 2012 model year also has a related issue where the same wiring damage can illuminate the airbag warning light and deactivate certain front passenger airbags entirely. Both concerns apply to 2012 vehicles, with the cable damage and deployment risk extending into 2013 as well.
