2024 SUBARU FORESTER Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2024 Subaru Forester has two recalls of equal severity: a front driveshaft that can crack and break, causing sudden loss of drive power or an unintended rollaway when parked, and a coolant leak that can contact hot exhaust components and start a fire. On the driveshaft side, the outer race of the front driveshaft assembly may develop cracks and fail completely, leaving the vehicle without drive power while moving or allowing it to roll if parked without the parking brake applied. On the cooling side, loose bolts on an engine water pipe can allow the pipe to lose its seal and leak coolant onto a hot exhaust pipe, raising the risk of an engine fire.
