The Suzuki GSX-R600 has 3 recalls spanning 1999 to 2013, with the most serious being a front brake master cylinder defect on 2004-2013 models where corrosion inside the cylinder generates gas that reduces fluid pressure, weakening front braking power and raising the risk of a crash.

On 2008-2010 models, a stalling issue tied to the electrical system can cut engine power without warning while riding, leaving the rider with reduced control and an increased crash risk. On 1999 models only, the cam chain tension adjuster can fail to maintain consistent tension, leading to chain breakage and sudden engine seizure that can lock the rear wheel and cause the rider to lose control.
