4 recalls across 3 model years
The Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa has 4 recalls spanning 2013 through 2024, all involving the brakes, with the most serious affecting 2024 models where a loose ABS unit fitting can leak brake fluid and significantly extend stopping distances.
The 2022 model year has a front brake master cylinder defect where the brake lever travels further than normal before the brakes engage, reducing braking force. An earlier repair attempt for this issue did not fully resolve it, so 2022 owners who already had the recall work done still require a second repair. On 2013 models, the ABS modulator can fail outright, allowing the front or rear wheel to lock under hard braking and increasing the risk of losing control.
