SUZUKI INTRUDER LC (VL1500) Recalls

The Suzuki Intruder LC (VL1500) has 1 recall affecting the 1998 model year, where repeated stress at the right front fuel tank mounting point can cause a hairline crack to form, allowing fuel to seep out and potentially ignite if it contacts a heat or spark source. The crack develops gradually through metal fatigue at that mounting location, so fuel seepage may not be obvious until it has been occurring for some time. Any accumulated fuel near hot engine components or electrical contacts creates a fire risk while the motorcycle is running or sitting after a ride.
