The Suzuki Intruder VS800GL has 1 recall affecting the 1992 model year, where soft cushion rubbers in the handlebar mounting allow excess handlebar movement that can crack the handlebar at its centre mounting hole, leading to loss of steering control. When the rubber cushions fail to hold the handlebar firmly in place, the repeated flex gradually cracks the metal at the mounting point. A handlebar that cracks through at that location can fail to transmit steering input, leaving the rider unable to steer or stabilize the motorcycle.
