The Suzuki Verona has 4 recalls covering the 2004-2006 model years, with the most serious being a daytime running light module located inside the instrument panel that can overheat, melt, and start a vehicle fire on 2004-2006 models. The 2004 model year accounts for the remaining three recalls. The brake light switch can shift out of adjustment if upward pressure is applied to the brake pedal, leaving the brake lights on continuously even when the pedal is not pressed, which can confuse following drivers about whether the vehicle is slowing. There is also a fuel system issue on 2004 models where the engine's air-to-fuel mixture control logic produces an overly lean mixture during deceleration, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly.
