TESLA ROADSTER 2.5 Recalls

The Tesla Roadster 2.5 has 1 recall affecting the 2010 model year, where a 12V auxiliary cable routed too close to the wheel well cover can get pinched and abraded against the carbon fiber structure, wearing away the insulation and creating a short circuit that can produce electrical arcing. Arcing in that area can generate enough heat to ignite surrounding materials, raising the risk of a fire. The defect develops gradually as the exposed wire contacts the carbon fiber over time rather than triggering an immediate failure.
