This airbag issue was initially addressed through a dealer inspection, but prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the problem, leading to a follow-up recall for vehicles that had already been seen under the earlier campaign. On 2023-2025 Hybrid models, the low-speed pedestrian warning sound may not be loud enough when the vehicle is reversing, which could prevent nearby pedestrians from hearing the vehicle approach. This recall covers the non-hybrid model year 2023 as well, where the same insufficient reverse warning tone applies.
