3 recalls across 5 model years
The Toyota Sienna has 3 recalls covering 2021–2025 model years, with the most serious affecting 2021–2025 vehicles equipped with QRT-Deluxe or QRT-Max wheelchair restraints, where the retractors can fail to lock and leave a wheelchair unsecured during transit, raising the risk of injury to the occupant.
The 2022 model year has two additional concerns. On eight-passenger 2022 Siennas, an incorrect seatbelt webbing guide on the outboard second-row seat assemblies can damage the belt webbing when the pretensioner fires in a crash, potentially causing the belt to tear and fail to restrain the occupant. Separately, 2021–2022 models are subject to an electronic stability control software defect that can deactivate the system, removing a layer of protection against skids and loss of control.
