3 recalls across 5 model years
The Toyota Sienna has 3 recalls covering 2021 through 2025 model years, with the most serious being a 2022 model year defect where an incorrect seat belt guide on the outboard second-row seats can tear the webbing when the pretensioner fires in a crash, reducing restraint when it matters most.
On 2021 through 2025 models equipped with QRT-Deluxe or QRT-Max wheelchair restraints, the retractors can fail to lock, leaving the wheelchair unsecured and able to move during transit. Covering 2021 and 2022 model years, a software issue in the electronic stability control module can cause the system to deactivate without warning, removing the vehicle's ability to help correct a skid or loss of traction.
