The Toyota Sienna has 1 recall affecting 2022 eight-passenger models, where an incorrect seat belt webbing guide on the outboard second-row seats can tear the belt webbing when the pretensioner fires in a crash, reducing restraint at the moment it matters most. The failure occurs specifically during pretensioner deployment: the mismatched guide cuts into the webbing rather than routing it cleanly, which can cause the belt to fail under the load of a collision. Only 2022 Siennas configured with eight-passenger seating are affected.
