The Toyota Tacoma Hybrid has 1 recall affecting the 2025 model year, where a front axle shaft can break and block full steering wheel movement, raising the risk of a crash, and also allow the truck to roll away if parked without the parking brake applied. When the axle shaft breaks, the driver may find the steering wheel unable to complete a full turn, which limits the ability to maneuver or avoid obstacles. A broken shaft can also remove the mechanical connection that keeps a parked truck stationary when the parking brake is not set.
